About Us
Amy Watkins
Amy serves as Broker-in-Charge for the firm, and specializes in retail real estate. She is actively involved with the company’s retail leasing engagements. Amy’s tenant representation engagements include some of our most recognizable clients, including financial institutions, restaurants and retail users.
Prior to joining Richards Commercial Properties, Amy spent five years with Wachovia Bank, serving as manager of several Triangle area branch locations before becoming a small business banker. She is a graduate of Meredith College where she earned a BS degree in accounting and business management. She is currently seeking her designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
Amy is an active member of the Junior League of Raleigh, the Meredith College Alumnae Association, and several professional organizations. Amy also serves as a committee chair for the Swing Fore A Cure golf tournament to benefit The American Cancer Society.
David Richards
David directs the Company’s general brokerage efforts, investing the majority of his time representing buyers and sellers of land. Years of experience with purchase and sale transactions involving a wide range of improved and unimproved property types, and his broad understanding of development issues enable him to guide his clients to sound real estate investment decisions.
David primarily represents buyers and developers of retail, industrial, hotel, office and residential properties, with clients ranging from small, local developers to large publicly traded real estate investment trusts. He also has extensive listing experience, helping a wide range of sellers realize maximum value for their properties.
Prior to forming Richards Commercial Properties, David enjoyed over twenty years of business experience primarily involved in real estate and construction activities, including commercial and residential development and construction, historic property renovation, and general brokerage. He was a licensed general contractor in both Virginia and North Carolina.
He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned a BS degree in horticulture, and is a member of several professional, community and church organizations.
George
Richards
George specializes in retail real estate, providing a wide range of services to both tenant and landlord clients. He is actively involved with the company’s retail leasing engagements. His unique combination of restaurant industry experience and a strong financial background also allow him to provide expert advice to restaurant industry clients. As a result, Richards Commercial Properties has provided site selection and acquisition services for a rapidly growing list of local, regional and national restaurant tenant clients. He also has broad experience with income property transactions.
Prior to forming Richards Commercial Properties, George spent seven years as a restaurant industry executive, following a seventeen-year career in public accounting, including seven years as a partner with KPMG Peat Marwick. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned a BS degree in accounting.
He is a member of several professional organizations, and has been active in the conservation community. George served for ten years on the North Carolina Board of Trustees for The Nature Conservancy, including service as a member of the Executive Committee, and served a six-year term as a Trustee for the North Carolina Heritage Trust. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Governors for North Ridge Country Club, and as Chairman for the Swing Fore A Cure golf tournament to benefit The American Cancer Society.
Drew
Logan
Drew has extensive experience with retail landlord and tenant representation engagements. He also represents buyers and sellers of land, primarily for retail and/or residential projects. His client list includes some of the area’s well-known residential builders, along with developers of shopping centers and single-tenant retail properties.
Before joining Richards Commercial Properties, Drew gained broad commercial real estate experience including real estate finance, land brokerage and retail leasing for a regional mall.
Drew is a member of several professional organizations including the Urban land Institute (ULI), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors (TCAR). He is currently seeking his designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Drew is a graduate of North Carolina State University, where he received a BA in Political Science and a minor in Business Management.
Shawn Wiseman
Shawn is focused almost exclusively on our retail landlord representation engagements (see partial list of clients). His client list includes several high-profile retail developments in the Triangle area, ranging from power centers to grocery-anchored centers and mixed-use projects.
Before joining Richards Commercial Properties, Shawn gained broad real estate experience as an area sales manager for one of the area’s largest developers.
Shawn is a graduate of Chowan College, where he received a BS in Business Administration. He is a member of several professional organizations including the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors (TCAR.) Shawn is also a committee chair for the Swing Fore A Cure golf tournament to benefit The American Cancer Society.
Shane Bull
Shane has recently joined our company following a successful career as a commercial insurance industry professional. He brings 15 years of business experience as an owner and business insurance advisor at The Mang Group, and is an experienced real estate investor.
Building on his own real estate experience, Shane is involved with a number of general brokerage relationships, primarily involving retail, office and investment properties.
Shane is a graduate of SUNY Oneonta with a B.S. degree in Business Economics. He is a member of several professional organizations including the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors
(TCAR), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the North Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association. Shane also serves as a committee chair for the Swing Fore A Cure golf tournament to benefit The American Cancer Society.
